Father, help us to demonstrate the compassion of Christ to those who are:

Truly our heavenly Father never turned his back on us when we were in the “prison” of our own sin.

(Hebrews 3:3, Colossians 3:12)

Chronically Ill

God’s heart is a heart full of compassion for those who are afflicted, thus we are invited to pray for and reach out to touch those around us who suffer.

(Matthew 14:14, Luke 7:13-14)

God has a heart for the orphans and considers the obvious lack of fathering and nurturing that they are living without, and desires to address those needs through us.

(James 1:27)

Mentally Afflicted

The Good News is “Whom The Son sets free is free indeed.”

(Luke 4:18, Matthew 8:16-17)

Being mindful and compassionate to the poor, reflects the heart of God, who is kind and generous to all of us despite our unworthiness.

(Luke 12:33, 2 Corinthians 9:9-11)

In Bondage or Addicted

Truly He has come to set the captives free, and being joined with His heart for our brothers and sisters, we find compassion and intercession to be just the right thing to do.

(1 Peter 5:8, 2 Timothy 2:24-26)

Father, keep us sensitive and aware of those around us who are for whatever reason without and wandering without a place to find true rest and a sense of belonging.

(Isaiah 58:7, Psalm 68:5-6)
